Lenten Scripture Writing Plan 2021
Hello! I am so glad you are joining me on this scripture journey. My hope is that this plan will help you focus on the joy and anticipation of the season of Lent. Over the next 40 days, we will meditate on our glorious salvation through the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and lasts 40 days (until Easter). It is my hope that by spending time writing and meditating on God’s word you will be able to focus on Christ and his incredible gift throughout this season. If you miss a few days—no worries. This practice is meant to be a blessing in your life, NOT an added stress. Dates were intentionally left off to release you from a set schedule or any guilt that may come from falling behind; just jump back in when you can and enjoy the blessings that come from spending time in God’s Word.
I am so excited that you have chosen to make time/space to practice the discipline of meditating on God's Word. You will be blessed. Enjoy your journal and I hope you have a very blessed Easter.
Advent Scripture Writing Plan 2020
The purpose of this plan is to help draw (and maintain) a focus on the joy and anticipation of the Christmas season. Over the next 40 days, we will trace the redemptive story of the Messiah through the pages of scripture. We will watch Jesus’ promised arrival unfold and anticipate his return with a renewed sense of hope.
This plan is structured for you to spend time through writing, mediation, and prayer each day as you prepare your heart for Christmas. There are 40 verses in the plan so be advised: you probably won’t finish it during the traditional advent season. However, it is my hope that providing more than 25 verses will allow you to continue the discipline of scripture writing even after the tinsel and lights are packed away, and hopefully begin the New Year with an eager anticipation for Jesus' return. If you miss a few days—no worries. This practice is meant to be a blessing in your life, NOT an added stress. Dates were intentionally left off to release you from a set schedule or any guilt that may come from falling behind; just jump back in when you can and enjoy the blessings that come from spending time in God’s Word.
I am so excited that you have chosen to make time/space in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season to practice the discipline of meditating on God's Word. You will be blessed. I hope you have a very blessed Christmas and New Year
